Instructions:
 

Cut the tofu into 1cm thick rectangular pieces. Then gently pat dry with a clean cloth or kitchen paper.

 

In a small bowl add the sesame oil, garlic, sliced spring onions, diced chilli, soy sauce and add two tablespoons of water and stir.

​

Heat a large non-stick frying pan, spray lightly with the rapeseed oil and gently add the tofu pieces and cook on each side for 2-3 minutes until they just start to go golden brown.

​

Reduce the heat slightly and add the sauce to the pan.  Gently turn the tofu slices so they are coated in the sauce and cook on a low heat for 3-4 minutes.

 

Serve on a warmed plate with the sauce spooned over the top.  Perfect with rice or noodles

  • 2 tsp sesame oil

  • ½ tsp sesame seeds

  • 2 spring onions, cleaned, root removed and finely sliced

  • 1 red chilli, diced

  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and diced

  • rapeseed oil spray
