Basic Tomato Pasta Sauce


Instructions:

Place all of the ingredients in a blender, blend for 30 seconds.

Place in a small saucepan, bring to the boil, then reduce to a simmer for 2 minutes serve with pasta.

 

TIPS:

  1. if using in a Bolognese or lasagne then there is no need to cook it separately

  2. Double up on the tomato puree, and this makes a great pizza topping - no need to cook before using

  • 1 ½ tsp Italian mixed herbs

  • freshly ground black pepper

  • dash of Worcestershire sauce optional
